Welcome to Greenlands State School, a Prep to Year 6 school which prides itself on a strong history of academic, sporting, cultural and community excellence. We have an impressive reputation for combining innovative teaching methods with a caring approach and up to date technology to provide students with a great start to lifelong learning.
The school is situated on the Texas Road, approximately 12 kilometres West of Stanthorpe, only 7 minutes from the centre of town. The school is set amongst forest and bush, where the calming natural environment provides a tranquil backdrop to learning.
Our staff are passionate professionals who are dedicated to helping students successfully achieve, no matter what it takes. We encourage innovation and promote a culture where skills and knowledge are developed so that our students are ready for the world in which we live and are prepared for tomorrow's challenges. Our high academic achievement is a testament to our dedicated teachers who take great pride in creating rich and engaging educational programs that provide appropriate intellectual challenges and encourage all students to continually flourish.
Thanks to our supportive school community, our students participate in a wide variety of educational opportunities. Such activities include extracurricular programmes (e.g. cooking, camps, arts performances, robotics competitions, STEAM competitions), free swimming lessons and all student materials provided by the school.
Many factors combine to make a school a safe, supportive, engaging and high performing environment. The most important of these factors are a sense of belonging and connectedness, and when families and school staff work together this ensures the success of every student. We welcome parent involvement and engagement in all facets of the school community.
I look forward to walking alongside you in your child's educational journey.
