Homework is an important part of our academic program. We believe that homework is just another aspect of the partnership that exists between the home and the school in the process of providing the best education possible for your child.
Homework is encouraged as it:
- gives the child another opportunity of doing individualised learning
- develops work and study habits
- allows children to catch up on or practise school work
- allows parents to see the standard and content of work performed at school
- encourages children to think that education is a lifelong process and does not exist solely in a school.
Our homework program is structured and easy to follow. It provides the basis for students to learn skills that will of benefit in further education. In order to better assist students and their families, our school has produced a parent information booklet (PDF, 573KB) that gives hints and guidelines about homework routines.
