Specialist staff
Our school has a number of specialist personnel available to assist your child. Regular visitors to our school include:
Music teacher – visits each week.
Health and physical education teacher – visits each week.
Language Other Than English (Italian) teacher – visit twice per week.
Learning support teacher- one day per week.
Speech language pathologist - visits each term.
Guidance officer – visits once a fortnight.
Occupational therapist - visits during each term.
Extra curricular activities
To provide a balanced programme our school provides a range of innovative, exciting and challenging extra-curricular activities. These may include:
School camps: children (in the older year levels) may participate in a variety of fully supervised educational camps with destinations including Tallebudgera, Sydney and Canberra.
Eisteddfod: children of most year levels will have the opportunity to participate in musical events like the Stanthorpe and Border Districts Eisteddfod.
School plays: The school attends approximately three school play performances each year to give students an opportunity to broaden their cultural experiences.
Sports programs: At times throughout the year, Greenlands offers extra curricular sports pogram such as tennis coaching.
Religious instruction: The school offers religious instruction once a week. Families can choose for their child to participate in the Christian program, a Catholic program or chose for their child not to particpate and they will complete set work from their teacher.
